Description:
Synonyms: CD-75; HP 900; FR-1206
Molecular formulaC12H18Br6
Molecular weight641.7
CAS NO.: 3194-55-6
Characters: The product is white crystalline powder, melting point greater than 180 ℃, bromine content greater than or equal to 73%. This product is soluble in alcohols, ketones and esters, such as organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, amyl acetate, acetone and so on.
Application: This flame retardant is used primarily in extruded (XPS) or suspension-polymerized polystyrene foam (EPS). With a stabilization package and proper processing conditions, it can be used in polystyrene and polypropylene resins. It can also be used in textile treatments, adhesives and coating applications. This flame retardant contains a high amount of alicyclic bromine. Its cyclo aliphatic nature results in a low melting point and high solubility in common solvents. It is possible to achieve transparent flame retardant formulations with this flame retardant . It can be used without the addition of Sb2O3, a SARA 313 material. This flame retardant is not on the SARA 313 list. Its high bromine content allows reduced loadings and its low melting point provides melt processability, resulting in minimal effect on the mechanical properties of formulated sytems. This flame retardant is available in either powder or granular form.
Stock: This product should be stored in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse, in the storage and
transportation process should be handled with care to prevent impact damage
